The worldβs most secure printer (but not today): 7 new (!!) exploits worth $80,000. π¨οΈαα||απ¨π»βπ»πͺπ°
Last week (October 21β23, 2025), possibly the best group of white-hat hackers available for hire competed in the well-known Pwn2Own competition, a major event among security experts. One of the targets - the Canon imageCLASS MF654Cdw - was the star of the competition. It was successfully hacked seven times!
Impressive results, and well done to every hacker who took part in the thrill. Now, based on the little information we know so far, hereβs what I can conclude:
π¨οΈ If youβre on the attacking side - printers can be a valid and easy target.
π¨οΈ If youβre on the defending side - this printer model could be your best choice, after Canon releases the fixes, of course.
Now, we just have to wait for the write-ups and publications detailing the attacks and exploits. Iβll keep you posted!
