A group of security researchers from Spain recently published a deep dive into commercial, military, and scientific systems for countering drones, focusing on their technical principles and modes of operation.

Soft Kill systems (non-destructive):

Hard Kill systems (destructive):

4️⃣ Projectiles/explosives

5️⃣ Directed Energy Weapons (DEWs)

An interesting fact: Advanced GPS spoofing systems can dynamically adjust fake signals to match a drone’s movement. This keeps the illusion so convincing that the drone actually “thinks” it’s flying normally. Literally - wow!
