Practical intro to Software-Defined Radio: from basics to complicated research setups. πΌαα||αππ¨π»βπ»π‘
Security researcher and RF hacker Dustin Finn, aka βBusySignal,β shares a very practical introduction to Software-Defined Radios (SDR), a basic prerequisite for spectrum analysis, signal monitoring, and RF security research.
From the presentation, you will learn about SDR hardware and software, things SDRs can receive, how to address complicated projects using a multi-SDR setup, how to use Kismet Wireless, and how to troubleshoot RF noise.
Car hacking included: the author explains that he can detect tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) signals from vehicles passing his house, including data such as tire temperature and pressure.
Very interesting presentation with a lot of useful content for anyone who is interested in learning Software-Defined Radio or using it in future research. Enjoy, and please share :)
