Clone your Starlink: Instead of buying new hardware, just move the secure chip to another device! 📡🛰️👥👽💰

Security researcher and DIY expert Oleg Kutkov shares his experience from the field on how to hack damaged Starlink terminals and move their UTID (User Terminal ID) to other hardware.

Buying new equipment is expensive, and support is time- and resource-consuming. But with a deep technical understanding of the equipment, there is a solution!

In a nutshell:

💫 Each SpaceX terminal has a UTID (User Terminal ID) stored in secure hardware.

💫 Certificates and cryptographic keys are bound to the UTID and can’t be cloned digitally.

💫 SpaceX only sees the UTID when you connect—so if you move it, the system thinks it’s the same terminal.
