Building your own mobile physical intelligence system (for hotel rooms and travel). ๐จ๐ปโ๐ป๐จ๐งณ๐ฅท๐ป๐
Security researcher Dan Tentler, in his presentation, shares how ordinary smart-home equipment can be magically turned into a cheap (well, relatively cheap) intelligence-gathering system.
But technically, this is a very interesting approach using classic tricks with motion, light, temperature, humidity, COโ, Bluetooth, and millimeter-wave sensors. And cameras, of course.
It is important to mention that the legality of these systems may vary depending on your location, so check with your lawyer beforehand (not GenAI!). And if you use an Oral-B Bluetooth toothbrush, the system will detect your bedtime :)
A very interesting talk from a skilled and passionate researcher. Enjoy, and please share it with your colleagues and friends.
